We have enough of populist promises and approaches to economic policy. It will gain you support short term but the nation will suffer long term. The tough measures taken by federal govt lately re subsidies, testify to the gravity of the challenges facing our economy. Quick fixes ie populist policies will only making things worse and may possibly bankrupt the nation as we are heading more and more towards welfare state status. PM knows this and that's why I believe he has steadier and trustier hands in handling the economy than the opposition. I suspect pleasantly that the people trust him too.
