For those on the outside looking in, they are sometimes left exasperated by the speeches and sentiments aired during the most eagerly followed political party conference in Malaysia. But such is the nature of these meetings - and something perhaps unbeknownst to those who only get a sense of what transpired through headlines in online news portals - that speeches from the floor do not constitute the party's policies nor do they necessarily reflect the thinking of the leadership. |
