Posted: 21 Jan 2011 04:00 PM PST That seems to be the question these days. First, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim invited Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for a debate, which he rightly turned down. Then I came into the picture offering myself to go up against the opposition leader, and then came the avalanche of challenges and counter-challenges from everyone. I would be surprised if at the end of it all there will be any debate on anything. But back to why there was talk of a debate in the first place. In an attempt to reverse their flagging political fortunes, the federal opposition have collectively agreed on some policies which they have presented to Malaysians as an Orange Book, or to give it its Malay name "Buku Jingga" (BJ). |
