We are now living in a world where the responsibility of filtering information that is coming to us is shifting from the govt to individuals. For as long as we want Malaysia to be an open society, rigorously embracing new information technologies and want to be part of the so-called wired nations, no amount of censorship or filtering will be of any help to contain the information explosion happening around us.
Censoring and filtering it will only drive the information underground and create new set of problems. I believe, at the end of it, it is the individual who will have to take the responsibility to decide what is good or bad for himself, his family, his community and the nation.
